Since 2011, a photovoltaic system has been producing enough electricity to cover approximately 80% of our annual consumption.
Our prepress department computers, our rotary presses, our offset machine, our lighting system and all other appliances draw energy from our solar panels. An on-site exchange system allows us to transfer the excess current produced and to withdraw the necessary current from the national network, when the self-produced current is insufficient.
The installation of just under 1,000 solar panels on the four roofs of our two sheds, for a total power of 135 Kw, has made our company an almost self-sufficient reality from the energy point of view, saving the environment from being fed 73 tons of carbon dioxide each year.
Certainly this attention to the environment distinguishes us from our competitors, however the realization of this photovoltaic system has required a financial commitment that, in this period of structural crisis of our sector and of the European economy in general, has been possible only thanks to the solidity financial our company.
